After being made familiar with a few of Augusts products, I had high hopes for this little retro styled radio, but were my hopes worth it? Lets find out!
So when I first got my hands on it, I was amazed at just how small and compact this little device is, and as a result i expected to to be very low on power. Then looking round the back I was even more amazed to see for the first time ever on any form of bluetooth speaker a SD card slot!
Looking at the build quality and styling of the product made me even happier. The product feels overall very solid and secure, and the styling is very retro yet modern. I think this unique style is acheived with some old school lines in the design but the LED display and chrome painted buttons.
Despite the low price of this little gem (just £20) the whole device feels incredibly well made, and shows no signs of anything breaking any time soon.
On the compatibility side, the SE20 excels even further Micro USB charging and AUX functionality, FM, Bluetooth, USB, and an SD card slot! What more could you want? All of this makes the SE20 useable with pretty much any modern devices. Other functionalities include an alarm clock which gives this little device yet more use around the house.
The sound quality that this wonderful little box produces is extremely satisfying, good bass, clear noise at all volumes, and it can reach a good high volume which is why it's found a place in our home kitchen. The sound quality is not at all affected by what power source you use, weather its the inbuilt battery that lasts up to eight hours, or getting it straight from the mains via micro USB, it sounds brilliant.
All in all I highly suggest investing in one of these hidden gems on the market as it is useful for a lot of indoor and outdoor activities, and who doesn't want that? If you're looking for a mini speaker with multiple functionalities I generally dont think you will find anythng more than this without spending more than £50.
