I'm sure there are a lot of people out there who are 100% against Mac reading this right now and getting ready to laugh at me for even writing this, so I'd like to advise you to go and look at some GPU's on Amazon or something.
Right, so Apple have now widened their range of Mac's even further with the release of the Macbook, so now we have the Mac Mini, the iMac, the Mac Pro, the Macbook Air, the Macbook Pro, and the Macbook, but what one is best for you? Maybe I can help you with that.
If you want specs, go to the Apple website, they're all layed out in a lovely table which simplifies things very well, what I'm here to do is give you my OPINION on which machine suites what purposes the best.
Mac Mini:
In my mind this Mac is made for the computer user that either want's to experiment going from Windows to OSX, or someone who wants to sit at a desk and only does simple web browsing. The specs are low, as is the price, however if you spend a bit more and get an SSD and a but or RAM, the Mini can be quite a speedy system for doing a little more than web browsing.
iMac:
Before the Mac Pro came along, the iMac was Apple's highest spec Mac which wasn't really good enough as the specs didn't really progress massivly for those hardcore video editors and other activities that need a lot of power. Now, the iMac is sitting in the middle of Apple's desktop range and has a very specific market thanks to it's new 5K display, and that market is photo editors, website creators, and writers. The reason I think this is because if you do any less than that you may as well get a Mini, and if you want to do more without stressing the hell out of it, you should invest in a Pro. The iMac has a beautiful display which gives website creators and photo editors a good look at what they're doing, and gives writers a great system to do hours of typing on.
Mac Pro:
Unfortunately I will never have the joy of owning what I've heard is a wonderful machine, but then again it would be wasted on me anyway. This brutal machine can be configured to have a 12-Core processor, like I said, wasted. This machine to me in made for people who need the best of the best to create high quality content such as high definition videos amd endless hours of multitasking.
MacBook Air:
The Air used to be the best lightweight Mac Apple made, however with the introduction of the Macbook, I'm not so sure. I would only reccomend buying the Air if you're desperate to have a keyboard, and to save that slight bit of weight. Otherwise you're better off with an iPad or a regular Macbook which is a shame. Hopefull the next generation Air will be lighter and more portable than the Macbook.
Macbook:
So it looks like Apple have a new top class lightweight machine on their shelves. It may not be the most poweful but my god, the new keyboard and trackpad sure make the machine desirable. Also with the introduction of USB-C this makes the Macbook the first production that Apple sell to have this incredible new generation USB socket. The Macbook is what I would suggest you buy if you do a large amount of traveling or just want to save a lot of weight and space in your bag.
Macbook Pro:
The Macbook Pro was the first Apple Mac I ever bought and it was the start of something beautiful. This machine has enough power to perform most tasks you would ask of it, and is still light enough to be considererd portable. This machine is what I would suggest buying if you are looking for a high performance laptop.

So first lets go over the traveller, the person who's jetting off every week. Now, your choice is difficult, you could forget Mac's all together and go for an iPad if you only want it for entertainment and minimal typing. But the chances are you're a business person that needs to be sending emails and writing reports, in which case I would reccomened getting the brand new Macbook. Although it doesn't have a massive amount of power, its incredibly thin and light for easy portability, and it's easily poweful enough to do presentations and other business like pieces of work.
