August SE30 - The Perfect Cheap Bluetooth Speaker?

At a price of less than £20, this has the potential to be the best budget Bluetooth speaker available for purchase. Unfortunately the cheapness is obvious from the moment you turn it on, as I shall now explain.
The unit itself is reasonably well built and definitely acceptable for a product of this price, and comes with a good battery inside that will last you through the day. However that seems to be the end of the positives. It lacks in features, not even a microphone included with this speaker makes it extremely basic. You get the option of Bluetooth or AUX as an input which is strange for August as the usually include an SD card slot or some other unusual feature.
The sound quality is slightly above average until you get to higher volumes, at which point it distorts to the point where it’s painful to listen to. I guess you could argue that this makes the speaker what you would expect to get for the price, but imp sure there are higher quality alternatives out there for you to buy for a similar price.
With the speaker in the box you receive a Micro USB cable to charge the device, and an AUX cable in case Bluetooth isn’t an option for you.
With all things considered, I'm still not sure if I would recommended this speaker, I think personally id spend a little more money to get something much better but if you are on a really tight budget, I haven’t had anything of a similar price to compare to.
