VIMVIP Metal Mouse Pad - A Real Winner?

Everyone that uses a mouse really should have a mousemat, weathers its a cheap one that they got from the pound store or a massive overkill gaming one (like mine), they make using a mouse a lot more pleasurable than it is to use one without. But how does this metal and leather combination fair? You're in the right place to find out!

The base and the main structure of the pad is build from aluminium, which is extremely thin but feels extremely sturdy, the majority of the mousemat is then filled with a countersunk leather pad for the mouse to be used on, leaving a small metal based stationary plate on the right hand side which is extremely handy for keeping pens and objects of that nature in.

The leather lets the mouse move extremely freely and smoothly but not so much that it runs away from your hand, the balance in the grip is perfect, you can be extremely accurate and precise with your mouse movement.

The bottom of the mousemat has silicone layer to prevent it from sliding around the desk when the mouse is in use, and it does an awesome job of keeping the pad still, it hasn't moved a single time unless I've wanted it to.

The only downside I can come up with for this pad is the colour, the metal is gold and the leather is brown which is fine however it won't suit everyone so some variety would be perfect. I'd like to see some silver metal with some black leather as that would finish my setup off incredibly well, and I'm sure a lot of people will agree.

All in all I highly recommend this product so long as the colour scheme suits your desk setup, otherwise it could be quite an eye sore if you're one the be fussy over aesthetics!

(Pad colours appear much lighter in this image)
