On first look at the box of the product it seemed that August had yet again pulled off their usual style that I adore. The box is so simple with blue and white as its theme, along with some high quality pictures of the product as well as useful information about what's inside. However inside things seemed to have changed for the better. The headphones were very well held in place with a moulded plastic tray that I'm sure would absorb any shock. Along with the product there's a micro USB charging cable and some instructions.
Setting the product couldn't be easier as is always the case with August. Power the product on, search for bluetooth devices on your phone, tablet, or PC, and when it appears click connect. The bluetooth system that August use has never let me down, and is the same across each and every one of their products. It's outstanding.
Picking up the headphones gave me a quick first impression on quality. Solid, good material, well over exceptions considering the low price. The only problem I have with the incredible slick design is the size. My head is over average in size, but that has never been a problem with any other pair of headphones for me, but these just will not comfortably fit me, which is a shame
The sound quality is outstanding as long as you're not listening to anything with too much bass, otherwise they do start to distort. But vocals and instrumentals sound brilliant, the headphones provide clear crisp sounds at any volume so long as the bass isn't too much, as I said.
According to people I've asked that have smaller heads than mine, they're very comfortable considering they're on ear headphones as an oppose to over ear. Please do your research between over and on ear headphones before you buy to avoid disappointment. You have been warned. Personally, I find over ear headphones way more comfortable, plus sound doesn't leak as much. But each to their own.
All in all, these headphones are great, very cheap, very practical, very comfortable (apparently), and they sound fantastic. Just bury in mind what I've said on head size, and preference between on and over ear, and you'll have no problems!
