RAVPOWER RP-LC010 Lightning Cables - Perfect Example of a Lightning Cable?

The box for these cables is beautiful, a white design with some greyed out graphics, and a lovely green RAVPOWER logo is simple and eye catching. it features the 'must know' information for the cables such as compatible devices as well as the lengths of the two cables.

Opening the box you get a welcome from the company, and are education once more about the two lengths of the cables, which happen to be 3ft and 6ft. Sliding the cables out of the box gives you a first look at the quality, which I can assure you is outstanding as they should be from a company such as RAVPOWER.

The ends of the cables feel very durable, and the cable itself is sleeved where it goes into the plugs at either end, giving it a real sense of quality, and as if you've bought a product that's been built to last. The sleeving on the cable will prevent a problem that has haunted Apple's lightning cables since they were first put into action, a problem known as 'turtle necking'.

Having the two lengths in one package is extremely useful. Personally I find the long cables are best for charging while in bed, they give you the freedom to use your phone while laying with your phone on charge, and the standard 3ft ones are best for car use, sync use, and regular charging use while you're away from your phone.

RAVPOWER claim that their cables can withstand a 15KG weight on either end as an oppose to Apples 10KG, which I believe. They also claim that the ends can be bent 8000 times before damage, and that they withstand a 5KM pull. All of which seems believable from using these cables so far.

Another small they implemented into these cables are rounded grip holes in the USB plug for extra grip when unplugging it from a tight socket. Little things like that make all the difference!

All in all these cables are in my opinion much better than they Apple ones due to the build quality, useful in multiple ways due to the lengths, and cleverly made. I would highly recommend them!
