I've been considering getting one of these drives for some time, mainly because I can't be bothered to move to my computer every time I want to put a disk in, but mostly because my computer doesn't actually have a disk drive, so when VicTsing offered me this, I was always going to say YES! This drive does not disappoint, its looks amazingly stylish and fits in the the rest of my setup perfectly thanks to it's brushed aluminium finish with black accents. The unit has 4 rubber feet on the bottom to prevent it from sliding around too which is great for every desk! In terms of speeds, I got a read speed which started at around 2,500Kb/s and eventually warmed up to a steady 3,500Kb/s, which isn’t bad at all! The only problem with this is that it does get a bit noisy but nothing too drastic. It also feels very well made for something of it's nature, it's not quite Apple standard but considering the price of it, it's exceeded my expectations! I can also confirm that it works with the latest version of OS X (10.11.5), and Windows 10 just as well. Compatible disk formats are as follows: CD-R,CD-RW,DVD-R,DVD-RW,DVD+R,DVD+RW,DVD-RAM,DVD-R DL,DVD-ROM It arrived well packaged between two foam cutouts which hold it safely in the box, and the attached cables doesn't get crushed either. The cable is the only thing I can really fault due to its short length but it's nothing that can't be fixed with a USB extension cable. Other than that I really can not knock this product and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a desktop disk drive for their setup!
